and this is jonathan corwin's account, and if we zoom in here, i saw two cats, one red, another black. what did these cats do? you could see that curve, cats. definitely cats. i'm going, two guys at the same time, one said cat, one said rat. did they just hear it differently? you know, how do we resolve this? a lot of people have then said she saw cats and rats. let's take a look alt this. is it cat or rat? and say it kind of looks like rat, doesn't it? until you look at some of these other things. the devil became to me. the child -- i don't know how to pronounce that with an "r." these are unambiguous instances of the letter and unambiguous "cs." so he was hearing cats. there are no rats at all, but there are all these transcriptions out here that say rats. we also encountered some other things. this is a piece from thomas putnam's handwriting and the traditional transcription of this is on the 15th may 1692. and i looked at it and went, i have seen a calendar, the 15th of may was a sunday. why would they do an examination on a sunday? they have better things to do. and then i looke
