as for the search warrant that was served today by contra costa fire investigators, we're told that is common practice after an event like this. less than 24 hours after fire ripped through two tanks at the nustar energy storage facility in crockett, investigators with te contra costa fire department served a search warrant on the site. >> i would ask that you not infer anything negative about that. the company is being completely cooperative, and it's purely a common practice that we do in investigations especially big complex ones. >> reporter: the evidence seized could include documents and computer servers that have video before and during the fire that consumed two tanks that contained about 250,000 gallons of ethanol. just 1% of their capacity. the huge fire sent a giant plume of black smoke over the area forcing the closure of interstate 80 at the height of the evening commute. >> you can get long-term health effects from smoke, but that's when you've been exposed for a period of time, not this short few hours we had last night. >> reporter: in the meantime, the chairman of the

the contra costa county and alameda county we are seeing wind gusts up to 30. it's not strong enough for a wind advisory. that is a low was grade advisory they would put out. were not even looking at that and neither is oakland. it does get breezy but the issue is the hills. look at the northbay at 5:00 a.m. 55 mile-per-hour sustained winds. for santa rosa, and we can go down into the south bay at 5:00 a.m. and if you look to santa clara county it is a bit breezy but those red bull's-eyes are showing up in the mountains. if we put the red flag warning on here that's why it's only in the mountains. it will expire at 5:00 p.m. on friday. let's get through sunrise tomorrow and then we technically have to get through 5:00 tomorrow afternoon. as far as the element that goes along with it, it's also the dryer air. that surge of dark own that started to filter in and by the time we get to tomorrow morning, humidity levels will be in the teens. if we look at the mountains we will see a more impressive story. single digits above 1000 feet and in the mountains and up on

over the last 20 years contra costa county has suffered 54 of what it calls major refinery or chemical plant accidents. 54 of those in 20 years. that is five every two years. this is a very major problem out here. this doesn't make things any easier. the industries can probably act more regulations and from that number it appears they deserve it. tom baker, ktvu fox 2 news. >> we have seen in the past when there is a refinery fire that gas rises tend to spike. this wasn't a refinery to tank storage area. will have impact on gas prices you think? >> reporter: since it was used for components of fuel and jet fuel and things like that, the amount of gasoline that this thing would have in his belly is insignificant. i'm sure the north bay probably go through this much fuel in a few hours. i wouldn't worry about the prices of fuel. however one of the things that we do know is when you get richter standards on factories like this that can impact over the long haul fuel supply but that would simply be melded into the general makeup making fuel. >> thank you. >> as toxic smoke in the air for h
