retailers a number of chains reporting much stronger-than-expected sales for march including the likes of costco, nordstrom, limited brand. march had some nasty weather, higher pump prices and easter falling later in april. that does impact sales in a big way. one notable exception, san francisco-based gap, its same- store sales across its three major chains down 10%. the gap says it was hit really hard not only by easter but by the disaster in japan. but the market not really responding all that well to that raferty of good news. europe's central bank raised its prime interest rate for the first time in three years to combat inflation. that's got the market worried. looking at the market, the dow is down by 2. still an improvement after the open. nasdaq turned positive now up by 9. s&p is gaining 2. >>> the big changes on the way to youtube. the "wall street journal" says that google is going to create a number of content-driven channels. content that it's paying for and creating through some networking in hollywood. putting about $100 million towards this. youtube is the most popular video sit
