we're joined by phone with terry cotter. she's with safari west. if you're not familiar with safari west, it is a great area where families go. they take their kids and have wild animals. big tents where you can go and experience what a safari would be like in santa rosa. terry, are you there? >> yes, i'm here. >> people have been anxious to hear how safari west is, how the animals are. did you have to evacuate? >> yes, we evacuated. i live next door and our house is gone. safari west fared fairly well, and peter lang, the owner, probably the only person on the mountain that stayed behind. he was taking car of all of the animals, getting them out of the barns if there were any structures on fire. but nothing was. all the animals are fine. that was our main concern. >> i mean, that's pretty miraculous in itself. because you have a lot of very exotic different animals there. explain that to people if they don't know a lot about safari west. >> well, it's a 400-acre african animal reserve, and there are about 700, 800 animals and birds on the property
