county fire in yolo county, 66 degrees right now. we're monitoring the winds because they were northerly winds. although at the surface we are seeing a shift from south-southwest, some of those winds aloft are still blowing from the north. that could still keep a lot of that smoke blowing towards our direction, at least through tonight and into monday. come tuesday, even for the napa county, lake berryessa area, we are expecting a better shift in our favor in terms of the winds. that will move a lot of that smoke off to the east, but it might not be good news for the san joaquin valley and sacramento, which it will start blowing in that direction. as far as the pawnee fire, 67 degrees current update. in terms of cloud cover, not a lot of cloud cover but expect various areas of clouds of smoke out there. don't be surprised by that. in terms of the air quality, there is still that wildfire smoke advisory. i have not seen any alerts extended through tomorrow, but that could all change depending on these winds overnight and into monday m

the carr fire burning in shasta county.an 48- thousand acres and injured 3 marin fire firefighters. tyler barnes, scott pederson.... and brian cardoza are part of a five engine strike team. kron4's maureen kelly talked to their department's chief who describes what happened. we're quite fortunate that the injury are relatively minorthe injured firefighters are part of a five engine strike team with a total of 17 firefighters from the marin county fire dept. they'd been battling the blaze focusing on structure protection and rescue since 1am thursday.....they were still going at 8pm that night....defending a structure when the three firefighers were overcome with a blast of heat.the fire made a pretty significant run, the quick action of the company officer there he was able to get his firefighters into the engine to take refuge unfortunately before that occurred three of them sustained vert burns from minor to moderate,all three were treated at a hospital up in redding two were treated and released....one fireigher who suff
