beyond just the tip, the mateo county district, 3 supervisor ray mueller announcing a new county wide pilot program. monday. the residential burglary reward program is set to start tuesday to 8 information gathering during active criminal investigations. the supervisor says this program was prompted by an uptick in burglaries in the past 6 months. we've had a string residential burglaries that taking place in district 3 in san mateo county. >> so much so that after 10, they actually started a new innovation, innovative program where they started to use state houses. attended a town town hall meetings and woodside and then sharon heights in menlo park as well. this is something concern effort throughout my district, frankly, supervisor mueller calling this program and new tool for law enforcement. the mateo county sheriff's department, along with the san mateo district attorney's office will be working together. >> some jurisdictions may even choose to put up signs in specific areas saying we have this program in place so that residents realize that when they see something, there's a f
