to talk about the homeless encampments in the city, because just yesterday, the ninth circuit court of appeals a court order that limits when and how the city can clear those encampments. want to go now to ktvu, ali. rasmus, who's here to explain what all of this means? ali? well, bottom line, claudine, it means the city of san francisco now has fewer restrictions when it comes to clearing away homeless encampments or simply removing people who are sleeping or camping on public streets and in public parks. the ninth circuit court of appeals just yesterday lifted a temporary ban. what had been a temporary ban on the city coming through and clearing homeless encampments, and that ninth circuit court of appeals action comes just days after the us supreme court issued a ruling on a similar topic. you'll recall it was june 28th when the us supreme court ruled that it is constitutional for cities to cite and remove people who are sleeping or camping on public streets. now, even with that high court ruling, san francisco was still limited on what it could do because of a previous lawsuit filed agains
