courtney, i want to start with you. we really saw the height of political gridlock this week in washington. what do you think the impact of the shutdown has been on the economy? >> well, for all businesses, i think the impact of whether it's a fiscal debate over a shutdown or whether it's a real shutdown or a debate over the debt ceiling and just the fiscal policy discussions in washington, uncertainty is the big factor for businesses. it's very difficult for entrepreneurs or large or small businesses to make decisions about the future of their company, hiring, growing their business, investing in new real estate, without knowing you know, when the economy can recover and what washington, when washington will come to a solution. >> john, courtney talks about the uncertainty. americans are just so frustrated. i know ceos are frustrated. they were meeting with the president at the white house this week. what are you hearing and what's the reaction in the business community? >> well, as courtney says, it's tough to run a b

i'm calling courtney so i think we're going to do a catch up. particularly as we unrainfall the difference not so much as the expanded medi-cal but it reminds me of a time many years ago we used to fund a program called aids counselors. we maybey inviting it in the future. so on to recommendation number 6. again as courtney mentioned at state level and we participate in the activities that are happening with the state. the state has dedicated a person ryan white fund called part b funds they have the person tell caffeine into our meeting and hopeful that will he help us get mostly updates which prier intents funding. >> can i request ask you a quick question. is there a requirement that all providers receive that assistants - assistance >> we offer a number of different kinds of training everything from cult competence and we're adding this. we don't necessarily require it but people are separate for the information. people are knocking on our doors what does this mean and in terms of recommendation number 7 there are a couple of different playe

courtney? container store ipo pricing at the high end of the range at $18 per share. it recently upped the price target range from $17 to $18. from 14 to 16. demand is expected to be high. we see these shares trading tomorrow on the new york stock exchange under the ticker tcs. there are a lot of things for investors to be bullish about. first of all, 13 quarters of consecutive same store sales growth. also, total sales, growing fairly strongly average transaction size increasing over the last three years and in the s-1, the cohen takener says it can grow up to 300. there are some things that we should note. store sales have been slowing. even down margin has also narrowed. perhaps most concerning to investors, the company has not turned a profit in the last three years, though the loss has narrowed from $45 million loss in 2010 to just $130,000 loss last year. now, because of the very unique assortment, there is no pure competitor for the container store. it has about 50% exclusive product and

courtney reagan live at cnbc with a look how the markets are trading. good morning. >> good morning to you. futures are higher after a mixed close on wednesday. the dow and s&p 500 rebounding after a two-day slump but the nasdaq ended lower, markets heartened by talks in washington to possibly end the shutdown and avariety debt default. president obama is meeting with house republicans today. we'll get data this morning on a number of people filing for unemployment. the dow to 14,803, the nasdaq slipping 17 to 3678. toyota is cutting the price of its prius hybrid. the sticker price will be $30,785. the move continues a trend of automakers slashing prices on electric vehicles. gm is increasing incentives on the volt and nissan has cut the price on the leaf. burger king found a way to get people to sample its lower fat, lower calorie satisfries, giving them away. this weekend the chain will hand out free value size servings of the fries with no strings attached though there is a limit of one per customer. they expect to give out 10 million orders. they ha
