courtney, good morning. >> reporter: good morning len. well, here in galveston, texas, we got lucky. we did not take a direct hit. there was some rain and there was some wind. but nothing like what happened about 150 miles east of us in southwest louisiana. especially in the area known as and cameron about 400 people live there. and they -- expected many not to evacuate. in fact, 150 people didn't evacuate so you are seeing those conditions right there. reports of 150-mile an hour winds and now we're hearing about damage to structures. to buildings. windows busted out. buildings shaking all night. the wind howling. in addition to the wind you had the storm surge. the storm surge was predicted to be about 20 feet tall which is going to be over a two story home. and then on top of that, you have waves. so as the sun comes up here in the texas and louisiana area, they're starting to assess the damage. but here's something that's happening that's very concerning. the people that didn't evacuate right now they're calling for help to be rescued

courtney, how does this inform your portfolio? let's just say, you know, we come back, we're a little bit smarter and we party a little less, we social distance, we get a vaccine approved in november. what changes the way you make, are you making ahead of something like that? >> yeah, i think it really comes down to just staying invested and i think just kind of the echo all of these thoughts we've had today. there is still a lot of value to be had in the market. there's certain things that are getting very expense ever but there's so much cash on the sidelines and i would just really urge everyone don't wait for some sort of drop to happen. there's a lot of optimism we're seeing things open and vaccine or not things are getting back to normal and there's still places in the economy that haven't hit their highs and there's still great buying opportunities. charles: and you also say that vaccine or not we're going to learn how to reopen better and that means it's going to be better for the economy either way. >> i think we're alrea
