courtney hazlett reports the scoop for msnbc.com and at burbank with a look at summer's winners and losers a look at the fall films might be that are generating buzz already. courtney, take it away. >> hey, david, how are you? we got about 41.7 billion, billion dollars at the summer box office this season and stacks up great and sound like a lot of money but i'll tell you why noits so good news, okay? even though 47 billion is a lot of cash in, it's not necessarily a tremendous amount of profit. two films that really illustrate this, "the hangover" cost $35 million to make. it made $270.7 million so that is not a lot of budget but a ton of output. because it had relatively no-name actors in it. even though we know bradley cooper's name now, when he signed on for this he wasn't a huge, huge hit. what studios don't want to do is this next film, "land of the lost." will farrell, huge name and extremely successful but it cost $100 million to make and made less than $50 million. even though it sounds like the box office raked in all of this cash it doesn't mean tremendous profitability for the
