his names, james craig anderson. his family members have just filed a wrongful death suit against seven white teenagers they say kind anderson because of the color of his skin. prosecutors have labeled this a hate crime, but so far just two of the teenagers involved have been charged, excluding the 19-year-old who prosecutors say deliberately ran down the autoworker. the lawsuit filed by his family seeks a jury trial and damages. >> the lawsuit makes various allegations against all seven individuals that were present that night. we allege all seven too part in what we call a joint venture to seek out and do harm to a person of color in this particular instance it was james craig anderson, a black individual whom they did murder. we are seeing damages again offense caught on tape. the details include disturbing language and images. darrell desmond is thin, short, with straggling blond hair, accused of leading a group of white teenage revellers to find and beat up anyone who is black. on june 26th, a group of white tee

today we learned about parties without alcohol, young teenagers, and a craig's list dating ad that may have started the down fall of a san jose police officer. the 44-year-old was in front of a judge less than two minutes but long enough to understand the charges against him. a grand jury has indicted the san jose police officer on three counts involving sexual contact with two boys, ages 15 and 17. >> this defendant responded to a craig's list dating ad that a teen-aged boy listed. a teen-aged boy then introduced the defendant to several teen-aged friends. >> police say the party was alcohol and sex encounters took place at the home between december, 2008, and march, 2009. and neighbors are stunned by the charges. >> he's just one of the other police in the neighborhood that, you know, seem to be doing his job. and didn't have a lot of interaction with the rest of the neighborhood. so kind of quiet. kind of a loner he pled not guilty in court this morning and his attorney says he'll mount a defense he will answer charges and looking forward to time in court. it's my expectation he wil

>> reporter: well, craig, the senate essentially killed off the house bill to fund the government. that happened just about 15, 20 minutes ago. we also heard from house republican speaker john boehner and eric cantor, the majority leader, they said that harry reid was playing politics and they fully plan to leave washington this afternoon and to say to harry reid, pass my bill. now, this government funding we're talking about runs out on friday, september 30th. the reason why they really need to get it done now is because on wednesday is the jewish new year holiday. a lot of members have things they were planning to do and they want to get out of washington. what the gop is doing now, craig, is effectively a strategy on capitol hill known as jamming. they're going to say to harry reid take it or leave it on this bill. the deadline is on friday. they need to get it done quickly on top of travel and all of that, monday night fema funding will run out most likely or at least it will happen tuesday morning. it will happen early next week. so in order for folks who are affected by hurri
