craig boswell tells us...the only difference is... this time around the new health care law is at the center of the tug-of- war. just 24 hours before beginning to proceed on a new spending plan to keep the federal government afloat the senate majority leader delivered a message to republicans.. reid says: "we're going to vote tomorrow regardless of what anyone says or does today." gop leaders are battling democratic plans to remove the part of the legislation that defunds the affordable care act - also known as obamacare. mcconnell says: "the senate leader is counting on his democratic allies to amend bill, he can only lose four democrats. just four." the house passed the measure last friday removing the funding for the healthcare law. the two sides have to agree on the bill by monday. cruz says: "i intend to speak on defunding obamacare until i can no longer stand." there are some conservatives who believe defunding with the threat of shutting down the government is a politically bad idea and want to try and delay the law instead. tr
