let's start with romney's attacks over the libya tragedy you just saw the clip of candy crowley crawley correcting romney after claim that it took fourteen days for president obama to acknowledge that this attack was a terrorist attack when in reality president obama said it the day after while romney was still attacking the president for apologizing because some cable went out of the egyptian quite quite quick. in fact it took romney nine days to recognize that this was an act of terrorism so wasn't this huge misfire on romney's part richard it definitely was a misfire and romney's part i think it was any chance for him to turn this debate around and to really put an end to the obama campaign it was that libya and so he botched it so badly that there was no returning from after that libya answer to this whole debate went downhill from there and i've been they've been i think you know he's used to telling his mates but he wasn't used to being corrected by the truth from the moderator and i think it's been a lot of republican argumentation about how the moderator with the moderator was w

pj crawley and peter brooks, gentlemen, really appreciate your taking the time. pj, i wanted to start with you on this whole issue of joe biden saying we and then jay carney specifying that meant himself and the president. and saying that it was the state department that would have made that call. what do you think about the vice president separating himself from the state department and the fourth person in line to the presidency? >> well, i think jay carney also said that ultimately, the responsibility for everything that happened in government starts with the commander in chief and works its way down. barack obama's responsible, joe biden's responsible, hillary clinton's responsible and so forth. as to the decision itself, the the vice president was stating a fact. that normal routine matters in terms of how you balance the level of security at 100 plus diplomatic posts around the world, those decisions are made day-to-day, week to week at the state department. so, i don't see a contradiction between what you've said and what the vice president said. >> you di
