walnut creek police are errorring the arrest of a coin creek. officer the received a tip on the whereabouts of -- officers received a tip on the whereabouts of the suspect and he was arrested at a casino. he's suspected of stealing coins from a dealer downtown last february. police believe the suspect was looking to catch in on the soaring price of gold. gold is priced at just over $1600 an ounce. again we're continuing to follow the standoff. we showed you the pictures of the officers removing two car seats that appeared to have babies in them. we'll monitor this throughout the day and have more on our website and our next newscast as well at 5:00. thanks for watching. have a great day.

nbc bay area's kimberly terry is live in walnut creek where she talked to some of the boys who just returned home. kimberly? >> reporter: that troop just arrived back here this morning, they're happy to be home and, of course, now, have a very exciting tale to tell. troop 202 was one of many other troops that were at a summer camp in the sierra. while they were there, unseasonable rainfall caused the river to crest, covering a foot bridge which separated 240 of the troops from the main camping area. the water was low enough finally to allow all the scouts to pass back over. they had plenty of food to tide them over until a pulley system was set up to shuttle supplies across the river. once they got safely back across the river they returned summer camp and returned home as planned this morning. >> it was a blast. it's probably my best one ever. definitely one i won't forget. i'm glad i was able to be in charge and help the younger boys out with everything. it's definitely an experience to remember. >> the boy scouts say they never felt like they were in imminent danger, they felt like it was
