i think the criminal justice system is criminal in some of the ways that the place justice. we add new america are working even though our society has left if i change we are working for thriving families, individuals and communities to have the time, stability and opportunity necessary to plead productive lives. we need high-quality education for all. we work for equal representation and politics and we do that by telling stories about what is happening and what is possible and by generating big and bold ideas to solutions but i think that you will see that today. the criminal justice system is in dire need of change. it was originally intended to be used as a social deterrent and to protect from those who commit crimes. it was intended for individuals to pay their debt to society and then return as productive citizens. but instead of doing those things, we need big business out of mass incarceration holding the highest incarceration than anyone else in the world. we incarcerate people of color and though we have been aired or rate of one out of nine innocent people convict

there is a real question mark over the ability of prosecutors within the criminal justice system ability of prosecutors within the criminaljustice system to locate the evidence that is hidden in those areas that can be absolutely critical. the thing is, this review is only looking at rape and sexual assault cases. only yesterday, a case, a people trafficking case, not rape or sexual assault, collapsed because of this closure failures. the effect of these disclosure failures can be absolutely devastating. in that case, a young woman who was one of the defendants was on remand for 13 months, during which time she had a child in prison. she should never have been there. this is an issue that certainly criminal lawyers field goes beyond rape and sexual assault.
