ktvu's cristina rendon is live there now. officials say they missed part of the spill because they didn't look up stream. >> reporter: that's right. they didn't think to look up creek because they were focused with the damage down stream. what they over looked was 200 feet of concrete. this is a piece of it. it is light. very fluffy. also pores and this is the stuff that is clogging the new portion of creek that is damaged. >> reporter: the sound of water flowing in the creek has been taken over by workers chipping away at concrete. 150-200 more feet was found in the creek. >> severe. >> reporter: they checked out the damage. >> not too much water tin right now. but it -- tin right now. but it looks messy. >> reporter: a woman notified them of the discovery and they admit to over looking the damage yesterday. >> we were focused on getting that cleaned up because that is where residents were, we didn't do a great survey. we will do better next time. >> i can see how it would be easy to over look it. on the other hand you think

and as ktvu's cristina rendon reports they want to expand to the east bay. >> reporter: plans in the works to roll out up to 7,000 more bikes in the bay area bike share program. a big increase from the 700 bikes in the pilot program now. >> i have an annual membership. >> reporter: peter rumsey has a membership and says that more bikes are needed. >> there's not a lot of bikes in berkeley. >> reporter: the san francisco pilot program was so successful the metropolitan transportation commission says more bikes make sense. it won't cost taxpayers a dime with a private company called motivate behind the push to get the bay area going. >> the private guys are going to come in. they're going to find a name sponsor. that's going to sponsor the bikes. you will see advertising on the bike and bike stations but as a return, we get the bikes and stations. >> this would give us the density and convenience that the system really needs for it to be successful. >> reporter: at just $9 a day or $88 for an annual membership, the bike additions will provide a major form of transportation getting you

. >> cristina rendon, live, thank you. >>> to developing news that we are following. happening along the richmond san rafael bridge. looking live that situation. that back up at the toll plaza. we learned the two westbound lanes would be closed till 6:30 p.m. tonight. just for a few more minutes. this comes after an accident this morning involving a ups truck. 5:30 a.m. this morning official say the truck finished crossing the bridge when it hit the center divide and caught fire. it wasn't just people's time but 30,000 pounds of packages, all of it burned. leaving people wondering what to do. ktvu's tom vacar is live near the bridge with the answer. how traffic is looking at this hour. >> reporter: what we see is the traffic continues to move. i reported at 5:00 p.m. all lanes were open. turns out it was only one. cars funneled beyond where we could see. it will be 6:30 p.m. before all lanes are opened unless they run into more delays. the next phase of this is settling up with the customers. many who lost packages in the blaze. >> reporter: best case, a thousand pack

cristina rendon has more. >> reporter: well, good afternoon, brian. we want to tell you that the agencies involved admit they just did not look and overlooked 200 feet of contaminated creek. you can see that the crews, those were the trucks where they were cleaning up that portion of the creek. east bay m.u.d. says since it had sat there the wet mixture has solidified into what they call a light, foamy cellular concrete. we shot this video about about an hour ago. the sound you hear is the solidified portions crackling and making their way through the vacuum tube. this new stretch of damage is about 150 to00 feet long and about 3 feet wide. it sits upcreek from where crews were cleaning yesterday. but it's still below the valve that was left open when this pour initially happened. now, we're told that because it has solidified, crews are chipping away at the foamy concrete so it can be sucked out. east bay m.u.d. said they are getting mans to make sure they are doing a complete survey of all of this damaged area. also, a spokesperson for fish and wild

ktvu's cristina rendon found out what students are facing. live in concord tonight. >> reporter: students now have two options. seek out a transfer or apply for loan forgiveness and start over completely. >> reporter: the shut down of corinthian colleges including everest college and hold didn't seem students from showing up to the campus. >> meant a lot to us. we can't just walk away. >> all my dreams are down the drain. >> 10 weeks left in my quarter. geared up to take the cma test and now i have nothing. >> the closure had been expected for months but corinthian colleges gave students and employees no notice on sunday. the government fined corinthian colleges $30 million for misrepresenting job placement rates and the attorney general is suing them for defrauding students. a buyer didn't want to take on the responsibility. >> what about student loans, credits, who is going to accept us now. >> reporter: she said it was her second chance after the first school lost its accreditation. >> i don't have the money to be able to do this all over

ktvu's cristina rendon is live now with the time line for the clean up there. >> reporter: we were told it would be two more days but now the clean up is going to extend into monday afternoon because a lot of manual labor is involved to clean up the cement. we found this feather from a cement covered bird that was rescued this morning and another bird was found dead this afternoon. and looking at the video, the area that is effected is called the glen echo creek, half mile of semeant poured through this area. -- cement poured through this area. they will filling the pipe, one of the inspectors gave the go ahead not realizing a valve was left open. doesthe spill lasted for two hours before they realized and then they were able to shut it off. 12 truck loads were being poured into the pipe but it is unclear how much pored into the pipe. they are still cleaning up. >> for the people who live in this beautiful comflex, yeah, it is bad. that -- complex, yeah, it is bad. >> fish and game investigators say aside from the initial clean up it will rehabilitate itself but that could take months o
