yesterday, a group of professors and csu staff and faculty rallied and accused csu administrators ofg to pit professors and students against each other. they had this message for the trustees you need to do better. you need to do better by your students and staff and faculty and pay what they need and also don't do it on the backs of students because you don't know how to manage your budget already. i'm just thinking tuitions, tuitions a lot as it is. so i don't think i really don't think it's the best choice . csu professors and faculty are going through contract negotiations with the university system. they're at an impasse in those negotiations. even so, they say they oppose the idea of these tuition hikes. they say the university system does have money in its reserves and should rely on that to increase their wages and salaries. educators and students plan to protest outside the csu trustees meeting today, and that's happening in southern california at the long beach university campus. and so that's where we're expecting more protests to happen there later this morning. but the t

in march, csu released this statement saying in part, the transfer success pathway is the csu's promise and commitment to those who don't take a direct route to a four year degree, particularly those who face academic, geographic or financial barrier as you can like be more involved in your city college and then like worry about your classes here without like constantly having to worry about the uncertainty of the future here. as part of the program agreement, students must complete an associate degree or an established course of transfer at a community college within three years. i actually applied into under a major i wasn't really interested in just to get into the school. and so if my major had guaranteed me entrance, i would have been able to do that first year instead of, you know, transferring under a different major and then switching over into the major. i actually wanted to be there and csu says that 40% of its transfer students graduates within two years. and this program will offer counseling to help keep students on track. now, the deadline for this fall is september 30th.
