just south of culpepper. the bulk of the rain from charlottesville just south of elkins, west virginia. a lot of that will be driving north, northeastward later tonight. by 9:00, 10:00 p.m., there will be more wet weather moving in, especially down south, up ir-95. it's looking wet for tomorrow morning. i think early on in the higher humidity, we could see some winds blowing at around 30 to 35 miles per hour. but with tomorrow afternoon storms, there's the front. we could be getting some higher winds, up to about 50, and even 60 miles per hour when that front comes rushing on through. there it is at 10:00 p.m., just about ready to make its way out of our area. so how much rain could we get out of this storm system? any of those downpours, any of those drenching storms could deliver a whole lot of rain in a short period of time. that means the possibility of isolated flooding again. it means that we could see some flash flood warnings go up tomorrow. anywhere between one and over two inches of rain expected ac

we're looking at 57 in culpepper. we are going to cool, but we're not going to get down into the low 40s like we were the last two nights. i think maybe the mid to upper 40s for you folks out towards the west. for now, no rain. there is a very potent storm. this actually braugt colorado a lot of rain. and they also had some snow up towards the highest elevations. pike's peek hak had a little bi snow today. that front, very cold air behind it right now. it's only 52 in denver. that won't happen here. but what will happen is this area of high pressure will slowly move off the kwoes. more nice weather on friday ahead of that same cold front. it will have some cooler air behind it. it will also have some shower activity associated with it. but as it moves over the mountains, it will dry out. so i'm not expecting rain for this, but if where he do, it would be late friday night. as the front moves through. saturday just reinforces the great weather. saturday and sunday look gorgeous out there before our potential big storm

here's where our rain is coming from in culpepper county and western portions of falkir county. and this rain is making its way our way. we'll see rain overnight and some areas will see heavy rain. it will be moving through here. so maybe tomorrow morning around rush hour we may begin to dry out a little bit. but i expect to see wet roadways and expect to see fog in some locations. give yourself some extra time. the remnants of isaac are spinning off to the west here. look at all the moisture in the south in the carolinas and alabama and georgia and florida and all the moisture moving up the east coast. that's why we see a good chance for rain tomorrow and wednesday. here's the remnants of isaac with shower activity ahead of it. on tuesday still seeing shower activity and rain. isaac is making its way out and a cold front is continuing the moisture surge up from the south. so once again any of the showers will produce heavy rain of 1 to 2 inches per hour. if you get the rain you are going to see it. if you are not count yourself lucky. not everybody's going to be seeing it. area

will continue to creep up, too. 72 the current temperature in frederick. 68 in winchester. 72 in culpepper. so everybody in the upper 60s to lower 70s. that's where we'll remain for the next few hours. the rain, nothing around our area now until you get down to the south. spotsylvania county, starting to see some showers. the heaviest rain is just off to the west where we do see some thunderstorm activity in through west virginia. and some bigger storms down to the south. southern virginia and into portions of north carolina. this is all coming together, and take a look at the wider view here. a cold front to the north bringing strong storms around the chicago land area and down toward the gulf of mexico. anytime you have a storm that sits on the gulf, look at all the moisture that it's allowing to bring up. it will move right our way, along the jet stream. that jet stream is going to be very strong, too. even at the lower levels. just a couple thousand feet off the surface. we're talking about 50, 60-mile-an-hour winds. i think some of those will make their way down to the surface. that's

as far as the temperatures go, we're on the mild side. 79 in leesburg. 72 in culpepper. 74 fredericksburg. 75 on the river. nothing on the radar yet except in the west. this is a very strong line of thunderstorms right now. numerous severe thunderstorm watches. the yellow boxes are all severe thunderstorm warnings. there have been a couple of tornado warnings out here. that will translate our way during the day tomorrow. the storm prediction center has our area and a flight risk for severe weather. we'll get strong thunderstorms, 30% chance those will come severe. to the north, philadelphia, portions of new york, northeastern portions of maryland, we're talking about a moderate risk. that's a very significant risk. upwards of 50% risk those storms will turn severe. you want to watch out along the i-95 corridor tomorrow. we'll be watching this line closely. nice and warm weather as far as that is concerned out ahead of it. we only need that trigger. the trigger comes with a very strong frochbl boundary. that front is going to move through and it's going to give us that chance of storms. as
