we are now at culpepper road near londonderry road. the scene itself is not far from us, around the corner off stockton sunday. fairfax county police were tipped off by a concerned friend who spoke with the now barricaded man on the phone. he told the police, the man, his friend, seemed to be in mental crisis. police have learned two children may be inside that house as well and with concerns he could hurt himself and others, police have gotten permission to get that man to doctors but first he has to open that door. >> in this particular situation we do believe that he is experiencing some type of mental crisis. we want to get him help so we've obtained paperwork that allows us to take him into custody and to see a mental health professional for an evaluation. >> reporter: now just recently the sirens have stopped blaring. we are told that the negotiations to help get that man outside of the home. they've been pleading with him for several hours to answer his phone and to come outside but so far we have no word that he has done that.

we've got them now making their way through culpepper county closing in on fredricksburg with spotty light showers into the di washington to buoy the light rain falling continuing to extend to the east not moving that quickly but it's going to be a steady light rain for a good hour or so. we've got it moving into upper mall bureau right about now and at 12: 49 expect some light rain that's going to last for a short while and then it is out of here. here's the cold front moving out behind the cold front what we are looking at is a drop in temperatures and after the rain we are seeing right now maybe just the slightest drop in tree pollens. this is what it looked like in a lot of back yards over the weekend the thick yellow green film showing up all over the cars and back patio. it is everywhere and the pollen levels because of a steadier rain a little more than two days ago looks like it may briefly knock those pollen counts down. yesterday they were off the charts h weekend. they are still high today but after today's rain briefly i do think we are expecting the pollen level to drop

areas like culpepper county. by 4:00, we're continuing to track clear. and that sets us up for a spectacular, fabulous monday evening. but the pollen is high enough today for us to get an official pollen report. i can't recall this ever happening. a trees coming in very high. and you can tell just by looking at your car. i noe know mine is flooded in that yellowish green pollen. looking ahead, the only relief to lower the tree pollen would be next weekend on into the following monday. take a look at our temperatures though. we're in the upper 70s. we're in the low 80s here in the metro area. tomorrow morning we start off cool around 66. that chance of a shower mainly north of 7:00 a.m., mainly in the d.c. metro area around lunch time. othe sunshine just gorgeous tomorrow evening. 4:00 we're in the mid 70s. we're in the low 70s. so the weather having a low impact on your day. that commute may be an isolated shower for some of us to deal w heavier lunch out doors, exercise about it afternoon and evening hours. really nice. just taking the dog for a walk. i
