in economics from yale, where he wrote on the protein and graduated summa cum laude and phi beta kappa before going to earn his jd at harvard. so i think now you can see why this panel is called rising above all these authors shared traumatic challenges, difficult childhoods and very different circumstances. yet they're here us today as accomplished authors, sharing really inspiring stories which which is amazing. so i to just start by talking about how there are similar themes that emerged i'm reading all three of these books together back to back and it was a real treat for me and i would recommend anyone here to do the same. and what you start to see that you know everyone, grows up in their own unique way and their unique families. and yet so many of us have had challenging things happen in our lives right, and that the heart soul of these books is really about how of these authors overcame. and i'm sure many are still grappling with with many of these as well. but there are some themes like love of family or the seeming absence of it, the struggles that your parents faced and how
