cuperti cupertino, home to apple, is up 12% homes there. saratoga, up almost 5%, mountain view, home to google, don't know if you heard of them, they are an online firm, up 3%. there's no rocket science in figuring out this surge. the people who work at these tech firms and live in these communities have more money to spend and lots more home which is driving up the prices. there's even one school of thought that people are buying homes specifically in palo alto, menlo park and this area, in anticipation of the facebook ipo. facebook currently at palo alto, moving to menlo park. they are aware the home prices would continue to surge as facebook employees would be able to cash in stock options assuming those go public. one economist tells bloomberg news, you take that into consideration along with let's say the recent linked in ipo, he expects to see, quote, an explosion in prices here over the next couple of years. reporting live in palo alto, bob redell. >> i'm sure the homeowners love you being out there this morning, the loud generator.
