and this morning crews are still on the scene in new briton along curley mill road. firefighters battled heavy flames, which engulfed the home. they also had to deal with those freezing, subfreezing temperatures. nbc 10's jesse gary is live on the scene for us now. jesse, what's the story this morning? >> reporter: chris, right now, crews are bringing in another tanker truck. they were hosing down the house with an aerial hose mounted on a lader but they've stopped. they're bringing in another tanker to have more water. and i've noticed some firefighters on the inside with flashlights, kind of searching around surveying the damage from the inside. the flames started last night around 10:30, quickly grew to engulf this large property on curley mill road. four residents on the inside made it out safely without getting hurt. obviously, a very difficult job for firefighters not only battling the fire but also the ice because of the 15-degree temperatures we have here. when we pulled up just a short time ago, we talked to one of the police officers on the outer edge of th
