surveillance video tonight seconds before convicted sex offender is tackled by customers in the union city dollar store. investigators say the man in the video is eugene ramos. well, cops say it took him only six minutes to enter the store before he attempted to rape a little girl. ramos is in jail tonight, and for the first time her mother is talking about what may have set him off. dramatic surveillance video shows a man, who police say is ramos, running through the crowd aisles of the dollar store. look closely and you can see how his clothing is being pulled by someone just before he frantically runs out the door. ramos is running because seconds before he sexually assaulted a two-year-old girl right in the store aisle. ramos' mother today expressed her sorrow for what happened. >> you're sorry? >> yeah, i'm sorry. >> reporter: ramos' mother ida told us her son has lived with her since his prison release four years ago, that he suffers from schizophrenia and he failed to take his medication the day of the assault. he walked into court today to face three felony sex assault charges
