now, when we talk about a cyclone here, i don't want folks to get confused.ot a tropical psyche len. it's not a tornado thing. it's a storm system rolling through the area. when you hear about numbers like seven, eight, nine, those are signals that signify what kind of winds you would be expecting. if there was a signal eight or nine, that would relate to winds anywhere from 80 to 100 kilometers per hour. look at the explosive thunderstorm activity. this is where it capsized there. and this is the satellite i'm showing you when it happened, a 12-hour loop. certainly we had torrential downpours here. i think the key will be significant winds coming out of the storms which churned up the seas. i think that likely will have play add significant role. investigation has to take place. visibility may have also been an issue as well. 62 millimeters, that's significant rainfall in just a matter of time. this is happening because this is the time of year where we have this front essentially that sets up across china. it extends from the chinese provinces, crosses the

towards the west, we were monitoring this cyclonic storm. can see the dry air is influxing and we're likely to see it become a tropical depression before it makes land masses. somewhat of a strengthening into a severe tropical storm, but no matter the intensity, we're already looking at stormy conditions, even in musk at as well. into locations where aun or two cyclonic storms develop over the arabian seas. so people aren't used to the rainfall, about one millimeter is the average monthly rainfall and inland seeing three millimeters in june. this will be dropping 300 millimeters of accumulation. unfortunately, this is going to be causing some damage. now, out towards europe we are looking at some very messy conditions. large hail has been reported in turkey, italy, and southern france. that's likely to continue. we have the stationary boundary and the bulk of the heavy rainfall will be produced in spain. we have a report of 70 millimeters that fell over the course of just 30 minutes. that's likely to continue across the similar locations, bu

this is a tropical cyclone.p here, towards parts of bangladesh and the eastern states of india this is where we're also seeing the effects of the monsoon. the moisture begins to push in and as a result, we've seen heavy rain over the last few days. as we look at the forecast, you can see plenty more heavy rain and big storms across the season. steadier rain pushing on the southwestern moon soon continues over the next couple of days. meanwhile, as you get into the early part of june, that's when we'd like to see cyclone information taking operation in the northern part of the arabian sea. there we have our tropical cyclone moving in just about to start to weaken it, running into cooler waters and drier air as it moves across, it is going to produce 100 milliliters in places resulting in localized flooding. across the gulf region, cloudy. >> the arrival of smart phones has led to a dramatic growth in the number of internet users. more than half the world 4.2 billion people are still not connected. a large technol

now, as we go further toward the west into the arabian sea we're keeping an eye on cyclonic storm ashobaa. this system is slowly moving and so it's nearly stationary. winds of 74. but we are expecting this to be a big rainstorm. look at this. we calibrated the colors to where the red indicates 300 millimeters in 72 hours. that's a lot of rain. and we're going to see that in the eastern tip of the arabian peninsula through the next three days. flooding will definitely be an issue as we go forward in forecast time period. thankfully the winds may not be quite as big of a deal compared to the rainfall. looking at the forecast for europe, we still have the stationary frontal boundary over to a low pressure head located north of the iberian peninsula. this will keep the western side of europe wet through thursday. you'll need your umbrellas all seeing wet weather. and down toward the south and to athens in the balkan peninsula, you'll see the unstable weather. elsewhere looking at dry and sunny conditions from vienna and kiev. sunny skies with a few clouds. now, wrapping things up with a look
