raising the responsibility that the killing of mike and cynthia mclelland might be the work of a lone man. ed lavandera joining us now. >> reporter: we know that since the first assistant prosecutor killed about two months ago walking to work there in kaufman county, we know that authorities have been starting from scratch, going through the case files, anderson, trying to figure out if buried in the files there might be a clue as to who might have had a grudge against these prosecutors and want to kill them. we have talked a lot over recent days of perhaps the aryan brotherhood or a drug cartel being involved and now an indication that authorities are looking broader than that and a case welcoming at an a public corruption case, a man by the name of eric williams, a former justice of the peace there in kaufman county convicted on burglary and theft by a public servant and sentenced to two years probation. that's a big case there in that small community. we spoke with his attorney today and we were told that on saturday night, hours after mike and cindy mclelland's bodies were found,

mike mclelland and his wife cynthia were laid to rest today amid tears, resolve and no small measure. the tears as you would imagine for two beloved members of the community, two devoted parents. the resolve from chris heisler who led the memorial services yesterday, calling on law enforcement to chase the killers down and in his words, take them out of the hole they come from. the fear, though, comes from any number of angles. it flows from the fact that mike mclelland and cynthia were not the first prosecutor in kaufman county, texas to be gunned down recently and the fact that the killers remain at large. last night visitation services had to be suspended and the church evacuated when someone phoned in a bomb threat. no bomb was found, nor was whoever made the call. tonight, we want to focus on mike and cynthia mclelland, the lives they lived and the work they did. joining me now only on "360" is kristina foreman, who buried her parents today. also her close friend, leah phillips. thank you for being with us. kristina, i'm just so sorry for your loss. what do you want the world to
