however, vertex has another cystic fibrosis drug, fx-809. that's now in phase three clinicelca trials in combination with colidico. and remember phase three, near the end, is where the opportunity comes in. these two drugs taken together can can lead to significant improvements in lung function for cystic fibrosis patients. that said, when vertex initially presented this data, wow, they really botched it. it was very disappointing. they made the results seem more positive than they were. the company issued its direction at the end of the day, the stock got slammed down which it should be. since then another stock has slowly but steadily been working back up and the reason is simple. if the fda approves vertex's combination of vx-809, they could do peak sales of $6 million in sales. massive opportunity. there's nothing else like it on the market or on the horizon. and because of this orphan drug rule that patents extend out to 2026. now vertex's phase three trial could be finished by the end of this year so we have to pay attention to this al

is a severe sometimes fatal defect that occurs as often as cystic fibrosis and spina bifida, yet mostpeople have never heard of c.d.h., and the cause of c.d.h. is unknown at this time. in 2009 my grandson, jimbo was diagnosed with c.d.h. during my daughter mary abigail's 34th week of pregnancy. although she had both a 20-week and 30-week ultra sound, the nurses and doctors did not catch the disease on the baby's heartbeat monitor. thankfully when she and her husband, paul, and daughter jane richie moved to southeast georgia, the baby's irregular heartbeat was heard at her first appointment with her new o.b. she was sent to nearby jacksonville for a fetal echo. the technician there told her that she, she wasn't going to do the eco because there was something else wrong with the baby. she asked my daughter if she had ever heard of congenital diaphragmatic hernia. of course she had not. and at that time my family did not know the extent of the baby's birth defect. my daughter and her family moved to gainesville, florida, on november 16, and jimbo was born two weeks later on november 30.
