da la vÍa a la legalizaciÓn, controla las fronteras, le da sanciones a esos que emplean a personas indocumentadas, pero trae todos los elementos conjuntos. yo quiero ver si tenemos la oportunidad en esta sesiÓn especial de tratar de lograrlo. si no, empezaremos en enero. va a depender, porque como no tenemos 60 votos en el senado, y en el senado, para proceder a cualquier tema controversial hay que... si un senador se opone, hay que tener 60 votos para ir adelante. asÍ que vamos a ver lo que los colegas republicanos estÁn dispuestos a hacer en este tema tan importante para la naciÓn. >>el gran senador del estado, de nueva jersey, bob menÉndez, caballero, muchas gracias por estar con nosotros nuevamente en "enfoque". >>gracias, josÉ, un placer. >>y para tener quizÁs una reacciÓn a esta entrevista, vÁmonos con juan carlos hidalgo, del instituto cato. juan carlos, gracias por estar aquÍ con nosotros. dentro de unos minutitos vamos a tener una charla un poco mÁs profunda, pero su reacciÓn a la entrevista con el senador menÉndez. >>bueno, el senador menÉndez culpa a la economÍa, culpa a bush, culpa a las corporaciones por el resultado desastroso que tuvo el partido demÓcrata en las elecciones del martes pasado, pero en ningÚn momento asuma la responsabilidad; en ningÚn momento contempla la posibilidad de que el electorado estadounidense no se encuentra satisfecho con la agenda que ha impulsado el partido demÓcrata en los Últimos dos aÑos, y que el voto del martes pasado fue un gran castigo que el pueblo estadounidense le daa es que la polÍtica econÓmica de este gobierno ha servido para empeorar la economÍa recordemos que ese paquete de estÍmulo que el senador menÉndez menciona como una gran obra para mejorar la economÍa, mÁs bien ha contribuido a crear mÁs incertidumbre, por el aumento en el gasto enorme que representÓ, que se va a traducir eventualmente en mÁs impuestos. y esto los empresarios lo saben muy bien y por eso es que no estÁn contratando. tambiÉn recordemos que cuando el congreso demÓcrata pasa este paquete de estÍmulo, dicen que con eso el desempleo no aumentarÍa mÁs del 8%. estamos casi en el 10%. entonces la gente, claramente, ha visto que lo que se ha implementado en este congreso y por esta administraciÓn no ha funcionado y por eso el voto de castigo. >>vamos a hacer una cosa, juan carlos. vamos a una breve pausa, porque despuÉs, al regresar, vamos a traer a melisa dÍaz, analista polÍtica demÓcrata, y vamos a tener una charla un poco mÁs profunda sobre lo que vimos, el mensaje del pasado
