this is the first event my dad is not at. the last time we were here was an event my mom was not at. we have been through a lot of loss. lost my grandmother also. i'm going to talk about. this event we had no doubt was dedicated to him. there was no question. the one thing you will notice now is the signings are much more quiet. people are listening. my dad was always in the back kibitzing with people and trying to sell more books and tell them where to get a good pastrami sandwich, so played a vital role in the book selling circuit, but we all miss him. in many ways, this book, as i was losing them, became a search for new heroes and maybe also more than anything appreciate the heroes already in my life. i need to thank the heroes that have been there for me as i was losing parts of my family, the family that does remain and really caught me as my safety net. bobby and dale and amy and adam and my nieces and nephews are incredible. they have saved me in more ways than you know. of course, my own family. my jonas, my lila, my

basically my two sons were frightened of their dad.l until october we went through a horrendous time of contact and they would hold onto me in tears and say i don't want to go and see my dad and i had to convince them to go. there was a court order in place for five them to go. there was a court order in place forfive hours them to go. there was a court order in place for five hours of access and the children were saying every timei and the children were saying every time i do not want to go. in my application, in july, i time i do not want to go. in my application, injuly, iwarned time i do not want to go. in my application, injuly, i warned the family courts that he was capable of killing both of my children. why did you think that? because he had said it before. i know and i understand why men do this to their children. and i said, how can you justify somebody taking somebody else's life? but he was a narcissist, he was an abuser and by that time i was looking in the mirror in the morning and not recognising the person looking back.

the hero can be your dad, grandfather, anybody. there's things we can change that can help children. i believe -- so many times our children are so like this. i think a lot of times they are like that. because they feel so isolated. i think if we continue to isolate them, we will have a bigger issue. i do see change across the country. i'd like to see more. one of the things i love is that we are really embedding ourselves into schools. kids helping kids is truly was going to make this world better. but he can't understand foster care system, giving voice to children in the system. thank you for your question. go vegan. can't do it.
