we know in 2020 he came to south dakota and held that rally in front of mount rushmore as south dakotae first states to open up during the coronavirus pandemic. since, you've had her floated as a potential 2024 contender. she's sort of taken herself out of the running saying i can't beat president trump. he's the very clear frontrunner. when asked whether she would consider being his running made, she says she would consider it. so very clear jockeying from the public sense as to how this is all working. it does appear this could be potentially a way for him to check the temperature on her in south dakota. >> sandra: i suppose people are wondering why else would he be headed to south dakota for a rally. >> exactly. the state only has three electoral votes. reliably republican. it has a june primary. may not play that big of a role in the republican primary. that is a -- why we all have our eyebrows raised and eared perked up. kristi noem is someone who has grown her public profile recently. she's vying for this more public role. >> sandra: a beautiful state. thanks for joining us. hurr
