south dakota never seen governor. were ok sending a woman to policies and stuff but they weren't sure a woman had to be the c.e.o. when i got elected i remember the rotunda sworn in for the inauguration ceremony and looking at the hundreds of people and the and it was built around the fact that the day i w s the first female governor of the state of south dakota was the 100th anniversary of women getting the right to vote in south dakota.it was the 100th anniversary andbout how historic this was and 100 years before that women couldn't vote and 100 years later we were swearing the first female governor and i was the very first time and i started to get nervous and think this is historic, this i of a big deal. i better not screw but then i went up and on my dad's bible and i took my oath was my oath back to justice of south dakota. the first promise was to uphold thestitution of the great state of south dakota and the second one w to uphold the constitution of the united and i thought, two can do that. that's not hard.
