this is "wall street journal" senior economic writer and fox news kirsten powers, columnist for the daleylso a fox news contributor. thank you both for being here. all right, kirsten, let me begin with you. all right, so we have a pause in the senate after all the excitement yesterday. the house is going nowhere fast. are we going to hit thursday, the debt limit with no deal in place? is that looking more likely now? >> well i think the developments in the house probably are pointing,, are not encouraging. put it that way. yesterday i was feeling more positive about the chances of reaching a deal because it seemed there was leadership in the senate where you have mitch mcconnell really engaged and harry reid engaged and they seem to come together with something that could potentially pass the house. so the question i guess is, are whether or not they can move forward with that and somehow get that brought up on the floor of the house because there are probably enough votes to pass it. it is a question whether boehner would actually bring it up which i think is a very open question. ashley
