people living in and around daly city lined up at the chinese hospital outpatient center today. it's one of about five smaller vaccine sites set up this week in san mateo county. those mass vaccination sites won't be a focus for county health leaders anymore. instead they're hoping to get smaller sites that can accommodate walk-ups. >> a lot of people are trying to get the vaccine right now, and when i try to get an online appointment, i'm failing. so when i heard that there was a walk up opportunity and i had the day off, whether rain or shine, i'm going to take it. >> going from daly city to san mateo by bus is maybe 45 to 50 minutes. here you just walk in. >> yeah, he's referring to the county big site there at the san mateo county fairgrounds. it is a commute. so far the county says the smaller sites here are getting a good response from people who use them. they plan to open several more of these smaller sites across the country next week. >>> cases going down, vaccinations going up, and with that formula, san francisco is looking to move into the orange tier by next week.
