his flag draped casket arrived at sfo last friday after a service in daly city. yesterday he was taken to his final resting place at golden gate national cemetery. well, construction on the controversial bike lane on valencia street has been pushed back. according to the chronicle, san francisco transportation officials said the wet weather delayed the start of this project. it had been scheduled to start this monday. the project will remove the bike lane that runs down the center of valencia street and replace it with side running bike lanes. construction is set to cost over $1 million and take 2 to 3 months to complete. the new start date for construction is february 18th. a spider monkey rescued during an unusual traffic stop in the central valley is now on its way to its new home. the monkey was found back in december and here he is after chp officers pulled over the driver of a rolls royce for a dui in madera county. now the animal was severely malnourished and, you may remember, was sent to the oakland zoo for rehab. they named her azules. now the zoo says

when hundreds of vehicles ended up in daly city our unit and daly city pd quickly disrupted that particular sideshow and flushed those vehicles from that location. fireworks were set off vehicles poured onto the freeway including headed toward the bay bridge. with coordination with the chp. that's when the larger sideshow in the bay bridge occurred at around 2:32 a.m.. so that was broken up but and there were was at least one arrest and i think there were two at least two cars impounded associated with that sideshow. bottom line on all this, it took a lot of coordination. we were able to prevent these events from happening in the city of san francisco, but it did take a lot of personnel hours and a lot of coordination. but i want to thank california highway patrol and all the other jurisdictions who work with us to do what we can to coordinate and make sure that not only in san francisco but across the bay area that we try to stop these sideshows from happening. and that is my report for this evening. >> thank you. each chief commissioner. >> i was just say just great report chief. we appre

it is rain showers from daly city heading out towards san leandro. so far only a few hundredths to about 8/800 of an inch of rain. as we go into midnight. we're going to continue to see this wintry mix 2:00 in the morning in the southern part of our viewing area. and then here comes the heavier rain tomorrow night. that's when a flood watch goes up. for most of the bay area, flooding is possible on streams, creeks and rivers, especially as the ground starts to get saturated. a wind a high wind watch goes up for most of the region, and a wind advisory for lake and solano counties. those wind gusts 70 to 80 miles an hour means the possibility of downed trees and outages. as this atmospheric river on live doppler seven heads our way. thursday we are going to see several concerns. flooding. it's a high likelihood. trees down. power outages between moderate to high and mudslides increasing possibility as the ground becomes saturated. dan. >> okay, sandhya, thanks a lot. a sonoma county has declared a local emergency following last week's storm. there were
