and 9 a.m., it may close the stations between west oakland and daly city.een west oakland and the embarcadero, that's because it's the transbay tube and they don't know what effect a tsunami may have on the tube but also the ones because embarcadero and daly city because they are underground. if water got into the system and mixed with electricity that could be dangerous for the riders so bart is considering closing from west oakland all the way to daly city. bart is still consulting with scientists and the usgs and watching news reports to decide whether it needs to close those stations. so far, no word yet. so still trying to get an update on that and still waiting to see, could have a major impact on public transit across the bay area. this would be an unprecedented closure, elizabeth. bart has never done anything like this before. the definition of course of unprecedented, but they do want to make sure that it's safe. they don't know what would happen. imagine if water crashed the transbay tube down through the embarcadero through all those or stations,

it's moving rammedly towards -- rapidly towards the west so san francisco, daly city, ocean beach, get ready for some heavy rainfall, maybe some lightning strikes. east bay, concord, san san san -- san ramon, moderate rain, and lesser amounts of rainfall right now being reported from redwood city towards san jose. this band will move in, in the next five to, say, 30 minutes, make its way across the bay area, and then more rain to move in overnight. accompanying the rain, heavy at that at times. look for a chance of lingering showers tomorrow morning, and then afternoon clearing, and then we're going to keep it unsettled throughout the period of this upcoming work week. this is the cold front, and this is the band making its way across the bay area right now. this portion will move through during the overnight hours. in fact, show you our timing. 5:00, this is a little off. but you can pretty much sense that once that band moves through, we have another actual cold front that will move through overnight. 11:00 tonight. turns over just to scattered showers, maybe a few lingering showers
