traffic backed up from daly city. i want to let you know that the best way is to avoid 280 between let's say 19th avenue and the maze unless you're getting on a little bit later. i wouldn't recommend it. i would recommend city streets and get on the freeway after 280 in san jose. this is a look at the westbound bay bridge. an earlier stalled vehicle was on the span. that is gone but traffic is backed up extra this morning at 10 to 15 minutes if you want to stay on a schedule. we talked about 880 in fremont being open. no major problems. southbound 880 is better. they cleared an accident at whipple. i want to show you how slow it is in san jose. southbound 280 there was a water main break at 87 on the ramp. look at all of the slow traffic. this is unusual. this is what causes people to be late. a backup you don't expect. it is a huge one. southbound from 17th into downtown san jose. northbound traffic is slow because of an accident northbound 880 at 280. so the san jose region, especially 280, i would avoid this. at 7:

the sheriff's deputies recovered the body of a 39-year- old of daly city saturday afternoon. he was one of two who fell into the water on april 28. the men were trying to anchor their fishing boat when awake tossed them into the water. someone on another boat pulled one man from the water. they could not find the other. >>> a weeklong investigation into a shooting inside of a bowling alley has led to two arrest. a 20-year-old, nelson of oakley and a 21-year-old of alejo were arrested saturday for the shooting on april 28 inside classic bowler. the shooting followed a fight between two groups of people. one man was shot. he is still in the hospital. >>> one man is facing dui charges after hitting a police car that was at the scene of a fatal accident in concord. that happened just before 10:30 p.m. saturday. investigator say the driver who hit that van stayed and cooperated. while officers were there, there was a patrol car at the scene that was hit. the driver tried to run but was caught about one block away. the officer in the car was treated for minor injuries and is expect
