in hayward, looking for a high of 72 there. 72 in redwood city, and 63 in daly city. some mid to upper 60s for much of san francisco in the north bay, reaching into the mid 70s today. now we talked about this at the beginning of the show. the high fire danger and the red flag warning that starts tonight. for all of these areas shaded in red. we have seen this quite a few times before. and this means that when we get critically low humidity, down to 9% in some areas, and then the wind starts to pick up, any areas in the hills above 1,000 feet may see any sparks or flames spread quickly. and we do still have a northeasterly wind coming in, and that's going to be the case over the next couple of days. and shifting more northerly and even off shore as high pressure moves in. so high pressure will still be centered over the pacific, but with the clockwise winds that flow around that high pressure, our winds will be blowing off shore, and it will still be very dry. and our temperatures heating up. the storm track staying well to the north of us, but we will start to see the

the peninsula anywhere from 80 and 81 in palo alto to 70 in daly city. san francisco, i expect 70s from the embarcadero. if you head closer to the ocean, it'll be cooler with 60s from the marina to the outer sunset. across marin, napa, sonoma counties, winds out of the southwest, so not as gusty. andwi to 83 innapa. my extended forecast looks similar in san francisco. we do get some morning fog returning by wednesday andually. for the inland valleys, we are in the mid-80s all the way through saturday's forecast. then we start to drop by sunday to 80, and then i still see a storm system moving close by once again by next monday and a cooler 76. the big change we think we'll see next week is the storm track moving more to south which would allow some storm systems to get close to the bay area. right now it's not a big storm. some of the early totals anywhere from .04 of an inch to maybe .75 of an inch. it's more northern based and this is an early look. we'll have more updates over the next seven to ten days of what's to come. next tuesday, the possibility

daly city temperatures drop with that ocean influence down to 65. more 60s from the embarcadero down to the ingle stad and across wine country 73 here in napa and right up to ukiah 75. we are looking at that wind increasing by this weekend. what i see happening is an area of high pressure building in the pacific. low pressure in the four corners. that's important because both of these systems interact. the rule is high pressure, air flows from high pressure to low pressure, it creates a vacuum effect. this weekend we'll see this area rushing from high pressure to low pressure and that's going to create these gusty northerly winds across northern california. we could see it go 15 to 35 miles per hour, maybe gusts to around 40. again, sunday, that's the day when we could have a red flag fire warning issued. san francisco temperatures up to 72 on sunday. drying and warming wind. humidity will also be lower. that's why we'll go up to 84 on sunday. we need a couple more days before things are exactly figured out in that red flag fire warning but it is a
