as the reason behind this arrest and higher damon and you had the honestly, administrative detention, as we said, doesn't involve any legal charges. however, they always claim there's a secret file. they listed several allegations such as me being part of a terrorist organization communicating with leaders in the popular front. they also accuse me of being an activist and d, stabilizing the security of the state of israel, and so on. of course, there is no investigation. the investigator reads out the charges and asks, do you want me to sign or will you know, i told him to sign. so he did, could i obviously all these accusations are baseless, but or do you think your imprisonment has something to do with as much so that your husband who is now in jail, who is the secretary general of the popular front, folded the ration of palestine and then uh can when there was an appeal hearing to confirm the sentence, my lawyer asked if i could speak to the judge. i told the judge that there was no reason for my arrest other than being ok months. so that's why this was my 3rd arrest in my 2nd one

arwa damon joins us now. arwa, you've been to gaza four times during this bloody war. what have you heard about the mood on the ground there now that there is this possibility of at least a ceasefire, if not peace? >> you know, jake, i think a lot of people are still struggling to understand it. >> i was messaging with a couple of our staff and some of my friends there who were saying, you know, i can't believe it. is it really happening? you know, did i survive? but then at the same time, they also talk about this sort of level of dread that they have, because now they're really going to have to face everything that was lost. and what gazans really crave is the life that they had before. the memories that they had before, the homes that they had before, even though it was so far from perfect. >> but there is this, you know, before that people are so desperate to return to that they're never going to be able to. and they've been in survival mode for so long that many have actually buried the pain. pain of loss of loved ones, of home, of you name it. and now that is all

oakland fire chief damon covington says shuttering to fire stations. >> to help close 129 million dollar budget deficit is a gamble. the city cannot afford. we have our full complement. we're rolling the dice. we don't have a full complement. we're really playing russian roulette. the closure of stations. 25 28 for the next 6 months is expected to save the city 5 million dollars. but the closures mean it will take fire crews longer to respond to emergencies per person is having a heart attack or seizure port, a structure fire. we could be 10, 12, 15 minutes away our come from 4 districts a way to get to that call councilmember rebecca kaplan did offer some hope and the next several weeks the city will be receiving an unexpected 2.6 million dollars due to greater than expected revenue from events at the oakland arena and coliseum. last year. >> and so we will be working on item to bring that should oakland share of that money back to to protect restore our fire services and our first nations in oakland. >> but even if that unexpected event, money is able to save one of those 2 fire statio
