dan senor: republican primary voters wind up being discerning -- mark: forget in the end -- dan senorhe end could be where the voting begins. there is a chance he will be a major player for the next 6-9 months. -- 6-8 months. mark: that's a long time for him to dominate. dan senor: correct. there is a scenario where he has to be rejected by voters. john: karl rove wrote a column stating there is a top tier of four candidates, including cruz walker, rubio, and bush. talk about whether you think those four will remain in the top tier all the way through the end of the year, and who has the best chance to break into that? dan senor: those four candidates will all be really competitive on the fund-raising front. john: i'm talking about fund-raising exclusively. dan senor: what each of them has -- while jeb has raised i.e. money, and all the others have done a fraction of that, what they all have is major donors to their super pac's that could triple or quadruple their donations if they feel the ir candidate is in the game. those guys are going to have the capacity to compete on the fund-r

dan: it is tough but i am with him. on the polling, fewer than 3-5 democrats support the president on the deal, democrats i have spoken to members of congress or staffers in the senate and house, they are frozen. i'm amazed. the president has come out with this campaign, with the exception of durban and pelosi so few willing to commit. when you talk to these congressional democrats they feel exposed. for the longest on the president and secretary of state told them don't worry, any time inspections -- we would never do a deal that didn't have these things. maybe these members have been saying it has to be this, has to be this command those things aren't in their and now they are boxed in. mark: i heard from somebody involved in the fundraising efforts that the number of may get above 100 million on your side? have you heard that number? dan: i have not. 60 plus is the number i haven't hearing. if it looks like it is winnable money will start coming out of the woodwork. cory: live from pier three in san francisco, welcom

dan: we have not talked yet.e been out on the roadshow, speaking to different investors, getting their feedback, learning what they expect from us, what growth opportunities they have for us. it has been tremendously valuable for both parties. emily: are you worried about -- potential agitation? dan: i'm not. carl and other investors are the same. they want great value to be delivered for investors and for customers. as long as we stay focused on that, that's the right thing to do. emily: a lot of people talk about paypal as an acquisition target now that it's separate from ebay. what do you think will happen? dan: we were split apart to create two great companies. ebay will be a fantastic company. we were set up to really capitalize on the changing chessboard that is going on in digital payments right now. and we think we have tremendous opportunity. our addressable market now could be as large as $25 trillion. and focusing in on that and delivering value to customers will deliver value as an independent company

dan: id. dan:-- dan: i do. emily: let's talk about acquisitions. you bought braintree years ago. might we see and what areas are you looking at? dan: we look at opportunities both organically and through potentially using our balance sheet. we have a very strong balance sheet. we launched as an independent public company with no debt and $6.6 billion of cash on a balance sheet. that is a stupendous weapon for us. we did our first announcement of an acquisition which allows us to get into the international market. that is a $600 billion market that i think is right for destruction. there are ways to make it simpler easier, and more affordable for consumers to send money back home to people that they love and care for. and so we think about doing organic homegrown solutions like one touch and expanding our buyer protections and looking across the payment spectrum for potential companies to acquire. emily: some critics say that paypal has innovated by acquisition. and that there is not a lot of innovation from within. how do you respond to that? dan: look at what we announced on her

for u.s. 2015 market dan: absolutely.nything in terms of threatening financial market stability is something we can thank fully forget about for a wild. olivia: how about china? it was that the chinese government has done enough to sort of stabilize things. is china going forward a big risk? dan: there is a question of whether it was really a risk. we are talking about the domestic market being essentially closed to foreigners anyway. the bigger concern is what is going on there in terms of direction. could it affect the economy as a whole and affect global economics or what it seeks the outside of the domestic market? we not see that much of the risk anyway. it is good that it stabilized, but we did not see it as a big concern. erik: the central banks back in control, which classes would you allocate? dan: we prefer equities to fixed income. we have had a big selloff in treasuries, but we think it is going to continue more likely than not. we will have the rate of 100 basis points higher now. equities are looking better.

dan, what are your thoughts? >> we've been talking about it now, obviously european stocks have been deeply effected by the discussions going on with greece and obviously the china equity volatility has seeped into other assets at home. i think they feel pretty comfortable with what's going on here in the u.s. so i think you have a little bit of a safe haven situation. we have pretty reasonable valuations on large cap stocks for the most part. and we don't have a lot of drama. let's just say. >> we don't, until maybe next week when earnings season starts. >> yeah. i think earnings season is certainly going to be interesting. looking at this week something did stand out to me though. greece isn't really a big factor when you think about it. with the gdp somewhere between oregon and louisiana, this wasn't really going to be material from an economic standpoint. china obviously a different thing. one thing i would ask people to think about, go back to the last time we saw an equity market bubble. and you knew you we

china -- view dan: it is messy. theeek that my feeling on way the market has rebounded and wipe them out in one day is investors are very anxious about the fact that this is such a controlled environment. the chinese government allows over 1000 stocks to trade. it plays around with the margin rules. it tells big investors do not sell. have a free market if the central bank is always getting in there and saying we don't like what is going on. doesn't mean that with the government did it didn't work? all of a sudden you turn around and went out. dan: saying something does or doesn't work in china -- it is a joke. this is a country that two weeks after the end of the quarter is able to tell you that growth was 7% per annum. economy and we are not going to get our first read on second-quarter gdp until later this week. china doesn't revise its numbers. what it says happen at the end of two weeks, done. say are doingey is working or not working, it is hard to tell. alix: i was oppressed he was not down more today. what d
