good evening, i'm dan ashley. >> and i'm infor alma deets. >> first a busy night of holiday shopping ast bay broken up by gun fight. lilian kim is outside the target store. lilian? >> reporter: dan, as target was bustling, people doing their holiday shopping when all of a sudden shots rang out in the parking lot. officers walked around the emeryville target looking 0 for any evidence from this evening apartments shootings. bullet holes found show several shots were fired. >> there were a lot of shoppers in the area, a lot of cars in te parking lot and people. so, it was, it was quite a hectic scene for a while. >> reporter: officers say two people were shot, both now in critical condition. one managed to walk to home depot where he was picked up by an ambulance. a third person who was involved in the incident was not injured. officers found him walking a block away where they took him into custody. police are trying to determine what led up to the shooting, but they say it appears none of them had been shopping. >> it appears they came here, parked, and some incident ensued in which t

i'm dan ashley. ama daetz is off tonight. officer andrew camilleri of tracy died just before midnight. the governor ordered flags flown at half-staff on state buildings in his memory. abc 7 news reporter melanie woodrow is in the newsroom tonight with more on the man investigators say is responsible for a christmas eve tragedy. melanie? >> reporter: dan, the chp says the driver will likely be facing serious felony charges related to the crash that took this officer's life. tonight we're learning more about that 22-year-old driver from people who know him. 33-year-old chp officer andrew camilleri leaves behind a wife and three children. christmas eve officer camilleri and his partner, officer jonathan velasquez, were on a maximum enforcement patrol on the side of the 880 freeway, looking for driving under the influence when the chp says their vehicle was hit by one. thinking person, a 22-year-old from hayward, chose to drive while under the influence of alcohol, and also drugs. and this needs to stop. >> the driver of this red

good evening, i'm dan ashley. >> so hard to believe actually mentioning drought, just a few days before the start of winter. that is the reality, when it's been this dry lately. >> some parts of the bay area, have received only 1% of normal rainfall so far this season. spencer christian is here with a look at how much tonight's storm is going to change that. >> as you can see, we have areas of moisture moving through the bay area right now. the steadier rain is up north. over the last three hours, it's been moving in the typical northwest to southeast fashion, that will be its movement as it swings down into the bay area, later tonight. once again, let's revisit those percentages. normally this time in december, san francisco would have had about 2 1/2 inches of rain or more. so far this winter, san francisco has received 2/100 of an inch. most bay area locations are 1% of average for this point in the season. we expect it to produce about under 2/10 of an inch of rain for most locations. it will be accompanied by strong gusty wind. i'll give you a closer look at the storm and where it

good evening, i'm dan ashley. >> and i'm infor alma deets. >> first a busy night of holiday shopping in the east bay broken up by gun fight. lilian kim is outside the target store. lilian? >> reporter: dan, as target was bustling, people doing their holiday shopping when all of a sudden shots rang out in the parking lot. officers walked around the emeryville target looking 0 for any evidence from this evening apartments shootings. bullet holes found show several shots were fired. >> there were a lot of shoppers in the area, a lot of cars in te parking lot and people. so, it was, it was quite a hectic scene for a while. >> reporter: officers say two people were shot, both now in critical condition. one managed to walk to home depot where he was picked up by an ambulance. a third person who was involved in the incident was not injured. officers found him walking a block away where they took him into custody. police are trying to determine what led up to the shooting, but they say it appears none of them had been shopping. >> it appears they came here, parked, and some incident ensued in

i'm dan ashley. ama daetz is off tonight. officer andrew camilleri of tracy died just before midnight. the governor ordered flags flown at half-staff on state buildings in his memory. abc 7 news reporter melanie woodrow is in the newsroom tonight with more on the man investigators say is responsible for a christmas eve tragedy. melanie? >> reporter: dan, the chp says the driver will likely be facing serious felony charges related to the crash that took this officer's life. tonight we're learning more about that 22-year-old driver from people who know him. 33-year-old chp officer andrew camilleri leaves behind a wife and three children. christmas eve officer camilleri and his partner, officer jonathan velasquez, were on a maximum enforcement patrol on the side of the 880 freeway, looking for driving under the influence when the chp says their vehicle was hit by one. thinking person, a 22-year-old from hayward, chose to drive while under the influence of alcohol, and also drugs. and this needs to stop. >> the driver of this red
