good morning, thanks for joining us, i am dan ashley. >> it is up to dr.gn off. when that happens, vaccination using the j&j vaccine could resume within a matter of hours. stephanie sierra has been keeping an eye on this all day. she joins us live from the newsroom. >> reporter: the vote was tense with one person who declined to vote. johnson & johnson was put on hold after reports of severe but rare blood clots formed in women, particularly those under the age of 50. today, there are 15 known cases out of the 8 million doses that have been administered in the u.s. women, half of them are in their 30s. symptoms typically started a week or two after receiving the vaccine. a doctor at today's meeting said the clotting disorder is quite rare, but clinically serious. at least a dozen of them involved clots forming in the brain. the cdc is planning a briefing next week where it will lay out the symptoms and treatments that are associated with the clotting disorder. >> the cdc in public health officials and our healthcare providers will have that information at

i love that guy, ashley webster, we need that don't we, kind of, dan beckerman joins us right now theate companies left and right all over the place so i'm sure, dan, you're welcoming all of this great opening up. how are you handling this does it depend on the locale? >> yeah, thank, neil for having me happy to be here especially on a day when the markets up. with our businesses we're seeing reopenings vary by city by city by country by country, but we're seeing a phased reopening, luckily tonight we're welcoming fans back at staples center to a partial capacity for the lakers vs. celtics, i'm happy to be welcoming fans back after a year of having fan less events. neil: what is the capacity, you said partial, what is it supposed to be tonight? >> well we're going to walk before we run. we're going to have about 2,000 fans there tonight, and we have the ability under our county and state guidelines to ramp up the capacity in the coming months so you could see us up at 35% or even more as the events happen over the next couple of weeks. neil: when do you think we'll be at full capacity

then ashley spoke with a bay area man who is on the front lines of the effort to raise awareness about the battle. dan joins us now with the conversation. >>> while we have made great strides in some areas of environmental protection, we are woefully behind in others. i spoke with george jacob, the ceo of the aquarium by the bay about what we should be thinking about this earth day and also about big plans for the future of the aquarium. >> i know it has been a challenging time in terms of being able to offer services. things are looking good. we opened at 25% capacity on march 5th and graduated to 50% capacity. in the last 30 days we have seen a significant jump in visitor attendance and getting the revenue up. things are looking good. your marking your 25th anniversary in san francisco. tell me what it means to the community. >> the aquarium started as a for-profit -- in 1996. about 10 years ago it transitioned into a nonprofit. in 25 years we have actually -- is a huge number. hundreds of thousands schoolchildren are served free of cost. >> your impact has been tremendous and the educational opport

ashley: another effort to force the cdc to allow cruising to resume being led by senators rick scott and marco rubio of florida and danalas are. it is called cruise resumption under improved safety enhancement. that is -- it stands for cruise. i can't speak, the wind is howling. it would revoke cdc's ability to enforce the no sale order they put in place last march and they say it is a time the air travel being quite extensive even florida governor rhonda santos said you can't mothball an industry. listen to what he had to say early last week. >> we don't believe the federal government has the right to mothball a major industry for over a year based on very little evidence and very little data and we have a good chance for success. ashley: we will have to wait and see but the cdc under attack from all sides. early july is when it is hoped the cruise lines can get going again, picking up for what president biden said, let's get back to sort of normal by the fourth of july, cruise lines keeping their fingers crossed and somewhere else around the world to do their operations leaving this area high and dry. back to you. s
