dan danny miranda was a sophomore at park view high school. he was shot and killed as he was walking to the bus stop earlier this month. three young men have been charged in connection with his murder. now, miranda was living with his aunt and uncle here. they wanted to send him back to his native el salvador to be buried so the sterling united methodist church partnered with park view high school to set up a fund. visit nbc washington for information if you're interested in helping. >>> for four decades, his was one of the most recognizable voices on radio. bobby bennett known to many as the mighty burner has passed away. bennett started his career as a deejay on wol radio, that's where i met him as a young radio newscaster in 1977. the soulful music bennett played and the catchy rhythmic rhymes he made became a staple on black radio stations here and across the country. he died of respiratory failure at his home in florida at the age of 72. though gone, bobby bennett, the mighty burner, won't soon be forgotten by his friends or fans. >>> and
