amy, back to you. >> dan harris, thanks so much. >>> let's bring in "gma" legal analyst, dan abrams.this that didn't end up in criminal charges. usher's stepson most recently was killed in a jet ski accident. what makes it from an accident to a crime? >> the authorities believe there is negligence involved here. and in the use of a vehicle, someone died. those are the three key things. someone died, vehicle, negligence. it's also just simple negligence. who got the third degree, which is a misdemeanor. i use the word just, that this is a misdemeanor where he faces up to a year in jail. that's it. >> the judge is being very strict on bail, given how small or low the charge actually is. he wouldn't reduce it from $100,000. >> as a result, this guy can't get out right now. and some may say, $100,000 is nothing. he killed this girl. on the other hand, if you look at it through a legal prism, he's charged with a misdemeanor. a third-degree crime. this is not a very serious crime as far as the law's concerned. and as a result, $100,000 is really high bail. >> and the family is filing sever

. >>> let's turn to abc's "gma weekend" anchor, dan harris, with the headlines. >> good morning. we're going to start with breaking news. a bloody and troubling trend out of afghanistan. members of local security forces, trained by americans, now turning on americans. this morning, an afghan policeman shot and killed two troops, moments after they officially gave him his gun. this is the seventh attack of its kind in two weeks. nearly a dozen americans have been killed. >>> and we have a developing story this morning out of yosemite national park in california. the search is on for a 6-year-old boy swept away in this treacherous stretch of river. sadly, the boy's older brother, who is 10, who also fell into the water was pulled out but later died. crews will be back out today, looking for that younger boy. and good luck to them. >>> flight lieutenant wales, better known as prince william, he piloted the air force helicopter that lifted a teenage swimmer to safety out of the irish sea. the girl was swept away by a riptide. her sister was also swept away. she was saved by a surfer.
