>>> welcome to local 12 newsmakers. i am dan hurley. we are just 11 days out from the primary. primaries are ugly.people who generally agree with each other have to magnify the differences in order to stake a claim on the november ballot. the result this year both nationally and locally has been especially dramatic on the republican side. program, i will be joined by the hampden county republican party to talk about the primary, especially what to do about the seeming dominance of donald trump. but, we begin locally with the republican primary for the ohio house of representatives seat in district 27. which covers hyde park, mount lookout, mt. washington, and inside the city of cincinnati as well as anderson township, indian hill, tara! , outside the city. tom, a resident of matt lookup is a republican incumbent in this race. he served for tomas jurco and the ohio house between 2000 and 2008 when he was term limited out. he was one of the founders of coast, the coalition opposed to additional taxing and spending. he won the seat back two years go in 2014, defeating peter solberg. heidi h
