kristen mcdonald rivet held a dan kildee seat in michigan. we have to take some time to assess in a precise way what voters were actually doing at all three levels. in the senate level, notwithstanding the so-called trump earthquake, in the house level, we have gained seats, fall short of the majority, and that is bitterly disappointing. bitterly disappointing. but we also have to be precise. trying to figure out what exactly happened all across the map. one thing i can tell you, our frontline incumbents did an extraordinary job and that's why 90% of them are coming back. the one that is fell short -- the ones that fell short were up against spheric dynamics that proved, particularly in pennsylvania, too tough to overcome. and our red to blue candidates did an extraordinary job. but we fell short by a few seats. and we are going to figure that out. one lesson, of course, is that we all have to do a better job of making life better for working class americans who have had enough. and they are right. the debt has been -- deck has been stacked a
