correspondent dan springer has the story tonight from portland. >> reporter: dr. monica leavyrepublican trying to win a senate seat in a deep blue state. a seat held by democratic jeff merkley. she has big endorsements. but she might have been big problems too. her ex-boyfriend, lumber executive andrew miller accused her of stalking her. then he started a super pac to campaign for her. she denies there was any cooperation between her campaign and miller's pac. >> women are creating more new small business jobs than men. >> another super pac which aims to put the gop more in the middle has spent more than $400,000 in campaign ads. >> we don't want the government interfering in our business, in our personal lives, in our private lives, in our personal decisions. >> part of monica webby appeal is she's a socially moderate women. also for a party that's been attacked recently for having a war on women, she offers a new face and a different story. polls show her main opponent is jason conger. his support comes from more conservative parts of the state. >> we need real conservative
