joining us is dan morgan of synovus. what is your take on the earnings? w squid game was a massive hit. how do you read it? dan: to be quite honest, i think this report was a little bit of a sigh of relief. if we look at netflix earlier in the year, the numbers were underwhelming. they came in, 4.4 million subscribers, 8.5 million in the fourth quarter, streams at 8.3, then the stock sold off. there were so many high expectations for netflix in the second half of the year. everyone expects the contents slate to be positive. there is a lot of high expectations on netflix. i think it was more -- i did not interpret the guidance in terms of earnings and revenues. they were within range. it was a surprising reaction. overall, i think it was a sigh of relief for people that are still bearish on netflix. amanda: even those that are bullish to have the caution evaluation. the most hardened believers netflix so you cannot call this inexpensive. where'd you come down on valuation? what do you need to see longer-term in those projections to help justify where this t

joining me now is trust portfolio manager dan morgan. rning many thanks so much for being here. what do you think of the facebook quarter? >> hi, maria. thanks for having me. it actually wasn't that bad. they grew ad revenues to 28.3 billion, a 33% increase. they were a little shy of consensus estimates in terms of top line and also ad revenue growth and their fourth quarter guidance was a little bit below what the street was looking for but we had those snap numbers last week, maria, and we already kind of knew that going into the fourth quarter there were going to be some effects with covid in terms of spending on ad budgets and then as you mentioned before this new changeover to this new apple operating system has i'm pacted them but overall it was a pretty good quarter. they grew ad revenues by 33%. so it's not a total loss. maria: after seeing intel, i'm wondering if there will be issues with texas instruments and amd. but facebooks has other issues. it's been rocked by this back to back scandals, whistleblower frances haugen's alleg
