all of that and more, but let's turn to ryan smith with the top developing stories. >> good morning, amy, dane on board. overnight searchers spotted some oil and debris off the coast of indonesia about 700 miles from where the airasia flight vanished from radar in a heavy thunderstorm. but they can't be sure yet if it's from the plane. abc's david kerley is tracking the latest. david. >> reporter: good morning, ryan. the first full day of the search is over, and this morning officials believe the jetliner is at the bottom of the java sea. the bad news is that officials plan to expand the search area tomorrow. it already covers about 75,000 square miles, so the expansion means that they have no indication exactly where this airbus a320 went down. several countries are involved in the search. more than a dozen planes and ships and more are on the way. some oil and debris were picked up today and will be tested to see if they are connected to this aircraft. 162 people were on board when the airasia jetliner dropped off the radar screens just more than 40 minutes into its flight. the weather over
