mark meadows, former deputy chief of staff dan scavino, former adviser steve bannon and former pentagonaju joins us live from the hill. why is the committee targeting these four? what's it hoping to find? >> one of the key aspects is they want to know what was discussed in the white house in the run up to january 6th and after january 6th. and what donald trump was doing. his own mindset. that's what, according to the chairman of the committee told me earlier today. they are trying to understand all these pieces of information and what they have learned from public reporting and elsewhere that these individuals have key information that will be central to their investigation going forward. but there's an open question about whether these four men will actually cooperate with the subpoenas. but the chairman of the committee benny thompson says they do not appear by mid-october for the closed depositions or provide records as the committee requested. they'll move forward with contempt proceedings in the house. >> well, criminal contempt is on the table. we discussed it. if it comes to tha
