joining me now with the latest from paris dana lewis.just before we went to air word started to trickle out in france that there have been arrested, that there have been suspects identified. tell us what you know. >> well, this is being reported by mainstream french media at this late our in paris. they're saying that, in fact, at minimum the authorities have identified the three masked gunmen, who carried out these bold, bloody attacks here in the center of paris today. they have even named them in one up in report. two of them are said to be in their 30s. another one 18 years old. according to these reports that are unconfirmed by the government or the interior ministry to be specific, and that one of them may have been arrested or have been known to authorities at one point for attempting to go to syria, and he was stopped. unconfirmed by authorities, but there are many french media reporting that indeed three suspects have been identified by the authorities, and some have suggested that they may have been detained. but again no confi

. >> dana lewis joins us from dammartin, the town where all this went down. he was there when the confrontation ended. i understand there are no details now from this incident from the prosecutor in paris. what are the headlines? >> we're beginning david to get some new details a very windy night here, by the way so forgive the wind noise. the prosecutor in paris has released some details about what happened today. president hollande is holding a news conference. one of the kouachi brothers was wounded when he got here, wounded in the neck, he was killed later in the shot youth but he came here wounded. we nope the kouachi brothers had disappeared for 48 hours or so after the shooting at the newspaper on wednesday. aside from a robbery at the gas station, they were spotted on the highway headed towards paris. there was a shootout at a police barricade, i believe and that is where perhaps one of the kouachi brothers was then wounded in the neck. in the case of the kosher grocery store the prosecutor is saying that when amedy coulibaly entered, that is when the

. >> dana lewis joins us now from paris. it's midnight where you are. updates on the search for the gunmen? >> reporter: well, david by the way, you know, in connection with this region in fact the highest level of security that had taken in paris has extended to the pick dee region, they deeply concerned these brothers are in that area, that's where they are concentrating much of their search. they have closed off some of the roads in the town, turning back motorists and searching intensely. that is where the gas station was and that was the last sighting of these two brothers, heavily armed with the with, accord to this gas station manager, rocket propelled grenades which as you know are serious weapons used in the battlefield, lots of discussion here about where they may have gotten them. some people say here there is a pretty big black market from eastern our up to weapons in france and if you have the money you can get the weapons. authorities announced today they continue to detain nine people who were close to these brothers and they will be deta
