the ticketing staffing and diversity recruitment prepared by daniel maneses and his crew. some of the good news was that only 11 out of all of our certificated classroom and nonclassroom positions were not filled at the very beginning of the year. so out of 513 were filled and only 11 were not. that's a really good ratio. in terms of diversity, we have 58% of our hires, new hires this past year are people of color which is higher than the state average and higher than most districts. we have goals for recruitment. 60% for diversity. we focused, we newly started to focus on pacific islander. some of the pacific islanders candidates we've been focused on and black and latinx candidating to be in our classrooms and i think we need to do a lot more on attracting asian specific candidates because we're lacking in that department. our next meeting is may 15th and we'll be discussing other areas of our staffing in terms of potential staff and supporting staff at schools such as para educators in terms of retention and diversity. >> president lopez: thank you. and, then last, we'l
